About InsectExperts.com

Our Mission

InsectExperts.com originated in 2010 during our tenure as agricultural and pest control consultants. In 2024, we relaunched with a renewed purpose: making entomology accessible to everyone. Our goal is to share evidence-based knowledge about insects while inspiring curiosity about these remarkable creatures.

Entomologist Couple

Our unique perspective comes from being both work partners and life partners. We met while pursuing our degrees in the University. And through the years, we discovered that our collaborative approach yields exceptional results. Our complementary expertise allows us to offer comprehensive insights into both theoretical and applied entomology.

Between the two of us, we have:

  • accumulated over 40 years of work experience in Entomology in various roles in the academe and the industry
  • completed four post-secondary degrees in Entomology
  • conducted many scientific studies ranging from mite taxonomy to plantation pest management, insect behavior to genetic control, insect chemical ecology & pheromones to pesticide toxicology, host plant resistance to biological control
  • experienced a variety of arthropods up close from aphids to plant mites, root-feeding grubs to leaf-eating caterpillars, flower thrips to house flies, stored product weevils to garden beetles
  • worked in laboratories to greenhouses, from mango orchards to banana plantations, from corn fields to golf courses
  • taught/lectured/advised about insect biology, crop protection, plantation pest management, urban pest control, pesticide handling, etc.
  • Here’s a sampling of our scientific & academic involvement found online to show breadth of experience:
